That seems to be asking a lot, doesn't it? And yet, that's precisely what the government set out to do when they set up such a thing. They wanted people to realise that even if they gambled, they didn't necessarily risk their lives.
In some respects, we've already got such a place. At the New
York City Casino, they have a place where children can play, for example. This
is a very popular attraction with the kids, but what they don't know is that
there are strict rules that they need to observe. That means having trained
staff present at all times to ensure that they stay safe.
The same thing applies at most live casinos. Even those that are
not underground have some kind of safety regulation in place. For example, the
slot machines are controlled by machines programmed to ensure that no matter
how much a child loses, they do not automatically get all of their money back.
This is a very clever system, which means that all of the machines end up
paying off, so that everyone wins.
So why do we never see such a safe gambling playground in
existence? Well, many of us live in a very small place, which limits the amount
of land that can actually be used for this type of thing. Which means that if
you want a safe place for children to play, then you're really out of luck.
This is not the case in Manhattan. There is actually a very large playground
built right on the Ferris wheel, which is right next to the casino.
This particular playground has two main attractions. The first
of course is the children who live in the building. However, the second
attraction is the "wheel" itself. This is an attraction that will
rotate, which gives kids a chance to ride the Ferris wheel. When you're done
spinning, you simply push a button, and the next thing you know, it's racing
across the track.
If you've ever been to a location like this, then you'll know
exactly what I'm talking about. Not only does this make the children feel safe,
but they also feel like they have "won" something, because they've
been such a good sport. This is a safe gambling playground that any parent
would be glad to see. It doesn't cost a lot of money, and it allows the city to
make more of its money.
